Only comment room very hot, but it was some of the hottest day and nights -would have liked air con - but what can you expect at price
A very good hotel I was very impressed for a 2 star hotel cleaned daily the only downfall was one plug in the room.
I stayed for one night and found the hotel to be very clean and adequate for my needs. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was basic but okay. I stayed on the Saturday night and was awoken early by the erection of the street market outside. I would stay here again though as it is a good budget hotel.
My daughter, granddaughter and I had a three day stay at the Ajiel wwhile in Paris to see the end of the Tour de France. The hotel staff were very friendly, helping the 11 year old with her French. The area was fine, with eating places near the hotel. The market on Sunday morning was an extra bonus.
Right in the thick of things, and as a result a little noisey in the night Clean if a little worn, walking distance from Sein and not far from the Eiffel Tower. Good value for the money. Breakfasts very good.
Located (a fair) walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, but close to Convention Metro. There is a small market three times a week outside the hotel and nice shops and a supermarket which seemed to be open all hours. Breakfast of croissants, rolls, toast, cereals, cheeses etc. Good facilities, very clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
There`s a great late-night convenience store on your left, just before you reach the hotel, where you can buy water. It`s staffed by charming chaps. There`s also a good street market on some days (mainly food). This is only a 2-star hotel, so don`t expect air-con, or ham and eggs and proper coffee with your breakfast. Plainly, the hotel is too far out if you plan to be on the town after the Metro stops, unless you can afford a cab back. If you like a bath, you`ll need to bring your own universal bath-plug. Ask for cotton pillow-cases, if you don`t like their man-made ones (which in the UK we would call pillow protectors). I mainly chose Ajiel because I couldn`t find a suitable, affordable more central hotel that had a lift; I tend to travel heavy.
very central very clean but basic.
good value for money, rooms were clean, staff at the reception was friendly, even though breakfast was quite poor and staff who served us looked like she didn`t wanted to be there we enjoyed our stay. iwould recommend this hotel and would certainly come back
Rue de la Convention is a lovely street with a market on the Thursday and Monday when we were there.
I satyed at Ajiel for 3 nights and found the hotel very satisfactory. Price was reasonable staff were friendly and the location was ideal. Close to the metro, market directly outside the hotel and an excellent supermarket across the street. Great view from the room, but the drawbacks were that the bed squeaked and there was only one english channel on the tv. Apart from that i would definitely recommend the Ajiel Hotel.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at the Ajiel. Immaculate room, fresh towels daily, friendly service, fresh food for breakfast, close to all ammenities including metro. Would definetly book again.
safety location.very nice and friendly reception desk.room is not small, even with a cloakroom! tv is not the bulky one. the bathroom is warm and big enough.only one thing, the bedding is not very smooth but totally acceptable!
Great staff, comfortable rooms and well placed for the Metro. Make sure you visit the three times a week markets.
Good clean hotel. Staff were always very pleasant and efficient.Rooms were quite small, en suite was tiny! Breakfast was good. Make sure you get breakfast included in your deal.TV was pretty basic, even though it was stated that the rooms had been redecorated and improved. No flat screen TV`s in our rooms!Excellent hotel for visiting London. Tube was 5 minutes walk away.
A very friendly hotel. Excellent value for money. (Would just have liked to be able to make tea or coffee in the room). Breakfast good, overall a very enjoyable stay.
We got 3 nights for the price of 2 so made it quite cheap. Hotel was clean and staff really helpful, only complaint is that continental breakfast not up to much but would def use the hotel again.
As previous commentators have noted, this hotel was in a brilliant location - very Parisien with a lovely walk between the Metro station and the hotel, wandering amidst the market. Very easy to get to. Rooms clean, comfortable and very functional. Breakfasts unimaginative and lacking in variety. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good lift between floors to transport luggage.
Very comfortable beds. no noisey nusance at nightWould have been nice if there had been a kettle in the room
Staff very friendly and helpfull, tea and coffee in room would be nice.
Stayed here with friends over a long weekend, while not central it was easy to access the Metro and the area had a really nice feel to it with lots of cafes, bars, patisseries and a big Carrefour across the road. A couple of people found it a bit cold as the heating wasn`t on yet, but we didn`t have that problem. Breakfast was included and was your typical continental.
The hotel was ok clean and very near to the metro. The continenental breakfast was ok, Orange juice, cereals, bread, croissants, bread rolls with juice or hot drinks. The bathroom was small but adequate. Ladies take a mirror with you as the only one was in the bathroom.
Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Clean with powerful shower. Breakfast usual continental style but everything fresh. Take your own hairdryer. Overall a good value for money hotel in a good position for the metro.
Easily accessible by Metro from anywhere in Paris. 3 or 4 vibrant restaurants nearby. Room comfortable, breakfast good. Only problem was broken toilet window, boarded up with cardboard.
I very much enjoyed my stay in the Hotel Ajiel. The staff were helpful, the rooms were perfectly good with a decent view of the street below. And situated in a very accessible place. Overall, a very good stay.
This was our 1st time in Paris therefore was not to sure what to expect. The hotel was close to Convention station so we took the Metro from Gare Du Nord which was straight forward. The hotel was clean and the room was a nice size. The bathroom looked like it was newly refurbished and very spacious. There wasn`t to much choice for breakfast but on the whole we had a pleasant stay.
Enjoyed my stay will worth the money.
Hotel is clean and rooms very basic. Everything you need but nothing more. Ensure you do not have the family room at the front of the hotel when hot and need window open - the noise is horrendous. Also, one morning breakfast service was awful and the waitress rude.
for travellers on a budget, it really doesnt get better than this! This is our 2nd time here and will go again!
