A comfortable hotel near the Arc de Triomphe. Peaceful location.
If room 101 was upgrade then we were very disappointed, there was nothing wrong with the room but being above the front door it was very noisy and were woken several times a night.
Really good comfortable hotel well located to some of the main amenities. I had a wonderful few days stay at this hotel and it was very reasonably priced. It also included breakfast that most of the other hotels did not. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Paris. Also child friendly.
Overall a lovely hotel - but couple of things to consider... although really not a huge issue...1. The pool is only open really when you book as massage (which is lovely!!) It is small but well worth a dip.2. We stayed on the first floor - the ground floor has tiles - this made for early morning wake up noises...people wlaking around echoed and disturbed each morning.3. One of the lovely porters looked like Pele!!
Room was very small. Window did not work and if open led to fire exit so was not safe. Door between hallway and bedroom did not close. Toilet seat loose.Could not open one of the doors to the wardrobe due to space restriction of room. Not well designed. Sound proofing did not work very well. Could hear telephone conversation of another guest. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. One robe for two guests. Not good value for money. Wouldn`t dream of pay for view movies. Would have thought free movie view would have been included in price. Felt we paid a lot of money for just a room. Very disappointed as this was a surprise birthday gift for my husband. Would return to previous Paris hotels I have been to before, before returning to the Waldorf. Would not recommend it to family or friends. Sorry.
Really enjoyed the stay and the reception staff were lovely (thank you Tiffany). Only had breakfast in the restaurant once as it was disappointing - little variety, food not fresh and service not particularly friendly. Overall though I would recommend to friends.
Food and hygene were good.
Good location, reasonable price, comfortable rooms.
Would definately come to stay again
Rooms on small side as you would expext in city hotel.Rooms clean, water hot, bed comfortable. Location good, just outside main tourist area, with good restaurants nearby.
This is a nice hotel with good quality, clean accomodation, good location 10-15 mins walk to Arc de Triomphe. Breakfast was nice, hotel staff friendly and helpful. For the price paid, maybe the room was a little small but then this is Paris! Also not right next to a Metro like some hotels in Paris. No bar in hotel but the pool is a nice extra if you have any time in the hotel! I would stay again, but felt a little bit expensive - probably mostly because of the exchange rate when we went!
Staff and service first class. From the moment we arrived they couldn`t do enough for you. We received a free upgrade, but even then, the room was very small - the smallest we`ve ever stayed in across USA and Europe.
Found the hotel ok but very warm, looked to be fully airconditioned but may have had problems
Overall a good stay. Very helpful, English speaking staff. Clean, well furnished room. The only criticism is that the eating area is very small. The tables are tiny and it`s a bit of a balancing act to eat breakfast on a postage stamp. The hotel would be well advised to expand the eating area into the lounge. This did not detract too much from our stay however and we would recommend the hotel and use it again in the future.
Only down side would be on street parking, which is difficult to find and tricky if you have a car, and if you don`t, it is a bit of a walk from the Metro if you have luggage. Otherwise, great city location several blocks from Arc de Triomphe and Champes Elyesee shopping with the Eiffel Tower also within a good long walk. No shortage of places to eat.
Cold coffee would be the only downfall of this otherwise lovely little hotel. Breakfast was basic, shame there were no cereals. Bed and room very comfortable, shower excellent. Well stocked mini bar, shame there were no complementary items though! All in all a well placed hotel within walking distance of the hub bub of Paris. Lovely bakery on corner too!!! I would certainly use this hotel again.
Arrived at the hotel to discover they did not have a room for us and they transfered us to another of their hotels. The other hotel was more central but did not have the pool and suana facilities that were the reason we booked the original location in the first place. A bit disappointing. At least the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly.
the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and the rooms generous for a small hotel. Decor was lovely and breakfast very good. highly recommend to anyone wanting a small and friendly hotel located just afew minutes walk from Arc d Triomphe and champs y lleeses
Accomodation was very good. Comfortable rooms and very clean. Staff were friendly. Would definatley go back to Paris and this Hotel.
Apr 2008 - We enjoyed a long weekend @ this Hotel, the staff were most courteous/friendly (especially Francois - a real treasure). The hotel is situated in a quiet street (no traffic) but only a short walk - 10 mins to the Arc De Triomphe & the Champs Elysees. It`s a boutique hotel so dont expect big rooms - we found ours to be small but perfectly formed (plenty room for 2 people), nice furnishings/plasma TV/bathrobe & slippers provided. Breakfast was very good a hot/cold option - inc scambled eggs/bacon/sausages/hams/cheeses/rolls/croissants/pain au chocolate/cereals/fresh fruit/yoghurts/c etc and great hot coffee. Our one critisism was - there was no air con (this apparantly does not come on until May). Our room & bathroom were warm and so was the breakfast room. We were able to open a window to cool our room. This however would not deter us from staying at this hotel again.
Easy check in. Although bedroom was small, it wasn`t TOO small. The bed was comfortable and we had lovely pillows and cosy quilt. Bathroom was equipped with both bath and shower. Bathrobes and slippers provided for each guest. My daughter (age 14) had a lovely time and we had early morning trips to the pool and sauna. Lots to choose from for the buffet style breakfast, but the tables are very small and it is hard to fit the coffee pot on once you have your cereal and cup and saucer there. I am sure that this would be easy for the hotel to sort tho. The hotel is close to Arc de Triomphe and there are lots of eating places nearby. We had a lovely time.
