Visas:
Generally tourists from Europe, USA and the Commonwealth do not require Visas for Italy. Check out: Italian Embassy
Getting there:
Arrive by air into either Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport 32km from city or Ciampino airport 15km from city.
Getting around:
Rome offers 2 metro lines, Line A red line and Line B blue line, and their entrances are indicated by a large red sign marked with an M. There will be signs in both the station and on the train showing the stops along the route. Your ticket will be validated when going through the turnstile. Those with passes can walk through the open lane while showing their pass to the attendant. Check out:Rome Guide
Tipping:
10-15% is normal in cabs and restaurants (where a service charge is usually included in your bill).

Shows: Giselle 09 to 14 August 2008. The Teatro dell Opera di Roma, established in 1880, has always been the driving force behind the capital`s musical life. Renovated various times in its history, it can currently hold around 1600 spectators. The theatre`s acoustics are legendary, no other theatre in the world can rival it.

The Silvano Toti Globe Theatre is the Elizabethan Theatre of Rome within the museum park in Villa Borghese. It arose from an intuition of Gigi Proietti, thanks to the generosity of the Silvano Toti Foundation and the commitment and undertaking of the Town Council of Rome.

Rock band Genesis will perform their biggest concert ever with a FREE gig for more than 400,000 fans at an ancient hippodrome in Rome. The concert at the Circo Massimo on 14 July will be the final show of the band`s first tour in 15 years.
