The city of York can be reached within 45 minutes by car and is less than an hour from the North York Moors National Park for those looking for an energetic days walking. BY ROAD: From M1 Junction 46 take the B1224 exit for Wetherby & York. After approximately 9.5 miles take the 1st exit from the roundabout onto B1224 and continue for 0.5 miles and take the 3rd roundabout exit onto Deighton Bank/A168. Take the next left turn onto Mark Lane and then turn right onto Main Street/B6164. Continue to follow B6164 for 1 mile and then turn left onto The Green. Continue onto Spofforth Lane which after 0.5 miles turns slightly left and becomes West Lane. Continue onto Deighton Road and then turn right onto Harrogate Road/A661. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Wetherby Road/A661. After approximately 2 miles at Empress Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Skipton Road/A59. Turn left onto Grove Road and then almost immediately left again onto King`s Road and the hotel will be on your right.
BY TRAIN: From Harrogate Railway Station walk north on Station Parade towards Cambridge Street. Turn right onto Mount Parade and then left onto Cheltenham Mount. Almost immediately turn right onto King`s Road and the hotel will be on your left.
