TV not working for half our stay. Had to request bedsheets and an iron 3 times. Also had to request new bulbs for lights in living room and a new battery for fire alarm.
Apartments need upgraded - definetly not 4star.
Good value budget aparments used as a base for family weekend. Polite helpful receptionist and handyman who swiftly dealt with window fixing issue. Apartment located in a diverse cultural area with huge range of eateries... we dined at the Black Lion pub which was lovely. Easy travel to and from central London.
Location near tube and the apartments clean, ideal 4 a short stay in the captial
The hotel did not have our booking despite the fact that I had been sent an email confirming the booking! Consequently, we did not have rooms next to each other, which I had requested.
A better range of kitchen equipment would make these apartments truly self-catering, but other than that they were perfect for a night away.
The receptionist was the only good point about this hotel. She was friendly and helpful and I cannot fault her. The accommodation itself was awful. The standard of furniture was very cheap. The bed was uncomfortable, the sofa was even worse! The apartment wasn`t clean, i didn`t have to look far to see evidence of slack cleaning. The worst part about it though was the noise at nighttime. Constant traffic noise from the street below, and at closing time there was a lot of noise from the pub next door and other local pubs and clubs. Had to invest in some earplugs after the first night.
1/12/2014 I stayed in a family room with my wife & 2 teenage children 2 days ago which was a good all round experience. The tube station is a short walk away, a Tesco supermarket is part of the building which saves you lugging stuff to there & also covers anything you may have forgotten, I was a little sceptical about the place having read some negative reviews but didn`t find any problems. The apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable, anything not in the apartment is readily brought to you such as the iron + board I requested.. The beds were comfortable & warm with a choice of pillows, we found the staff helpful, friendly & willing to assist, it probably isn`t a 4 star more a 3 1/2 but would not hesitate to book again. The bad reviewers are moaning so and so`s! You get good value for what you pay. Thanks Phil. Liverpool.
It smelled of cigarette smoke. Reception added it was a smoking accommodation. It said on confirmation non smoking. They moved our rooms for us. Rooms not very practical. No plugs near mirrors. No kettle. We requested a kettle and one arrived. Noisy due to it being next to a main road. No double glazing. I would not go again nor recommend it.
Travelling with young children means that traditional hotel rooms are often not suitable, so I was delighted to find these hotel apartments. They were just what we needed with plenty space for everyone to sit and/or play. Having access to a kitchen and dining table complete with spacious rooms and en suite facilities was just perfect. We all enjoyed our stay and I would return without hesitation.
Kitchen area floor was not very clean and in the bedroom the bedside table lamp had a very long cable that posed a trip hazard.
Close to tube. Clean and spacious apt. Road side room very noisy.
We loved our short stay, though, being on the first floor it was pretty noisy with mechanical sounds from the courtyard, possibly air conditioning unit, and other weird sounds from the pipework or similar. The decor is a little tired and in need of attention with a few things like handles missing, plug missing and bits of wallpaper torn off. The bed was quite uncomfortable sadly, but all sheets and environment in good state of cleanlinessl Thank you
Rooms are apartments-for 2 people you don`t need the extra space but nice to have mini kitchen. Beds comfy and reception staff very helpful. 5 minute walk to tube and 15 minute ride to Piccadilly Circus. Down side blinds not curtains at windows and rooms very warm- heaters have a mind of their own even when apparently switched off. But at half the price of any other hotel in this range we would come again.
The hotel room itself was lovely, very clean warm and welcoming. On arrival to check in I was however asked for photo ID? I do not know why this was needed and hadn`t been informed before hand that I would need this. Luckily between the group we did have a drivers licence in which that photocopied but did not tell us why! The receptionist was very blunt and could have been a little welcoming. Apart from this strange set up the room and stay was nice.
my advice to anyone is not to stay here. The carpet had various stains all over it, the fridge draws an cupboads smelt so bad the food i had put in there had to be thrown away. It was very noisy as our room backed on to the ally where the entrance is and a beer garden from the pub next door. On a main high street as well so traffic noise was also a problem. Bathroom was spotless as were the sheets...but judging by the rest of the place i darent check what was under them. The staff have a take it or leave it attitude to any problems such as our tv not working! Great position for access to central london but i would rather spend longer on a tube than stay here again.
upgraded to a 2 room apartment on arrival. Kitchen facilities in a separate lounge/tv/dining area. Comfortable bed. Clean fresh bathroom. 25 minute walk to Lords Cricket Ground. Would stay again and recommend to friends. very close to Kilburn Park tube station, and apartments easy to find. Tesco next door for supplies. Hint: bring own tea/coffee, not supplied in the apartment.
Beeping low battery smoke alarm, asked staff to fix whilst out for dinner. This wasn`t done. Staff member then removed batteries to stop beeping. Some peeling countertops in kitchen. Very functional bathroom with no hook to hold showerhead up. However we simply wanted a place to rest our heads, and this served our purpose.
Very clean accommodation, with all necessary requirements. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful location at night. Very close to tube station, however slightly far out from main tourist attractions. Would stay here again nonetheless.
i was very impressed with the apartment, so easy to find just a very short walk to tube station. the apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped. it was quiet, conveninent for tesco express for our breakfast, bed was very comfortable and my friend slept well on the sofa bed. will definitely stay again. top marks 10/10
Nice apartment, poor lighting and not as clean as it could be. Carpets qute dirty. Nice furnishing and really helpful and friendly staff.
I booked this hotel as a surprise trip for my husband & children. However, on trying to settle down to sleep, we discovered the loudest boiler locked in a cupboard. This noise was so loud & disturbing that we actually had to leave the hotel as all other rooms were full. At 11pm we had no option but to drive the 2 hour journey back to Bournemouth. This completely ruined our weekend & my husband`s birthday & I would NEVER EVER recommend So Quartier Apartments to anyone. Also rating this accommodation 4 stars is far too optimistic. A 2 star would be far more agreeable. The pictures on this website are very misleading compared with what you actually get!!!! Also there is a nightclub next door, so we could hear the music from there too. Overall a terrible experience, one to never be repeated. Extrememly disappointed & frustrated!
Swift check in, room really clean and quite well equipped. Would benefit from much better lighting particularly in the kitchen and the carpet in the living area, although clean, looked like it had been pulled from a skip and fitted by a two year old. Despite this it was good value and easily accessible by tube.
The apartment is very nice ,clean and good service.
The staff were very friendly, and helpful with directions and transportation questions. I would not however stay here again because of the noise at night (midnight to 3 or 4 in the morning) every evening. The staff did address the problem, however it was young children making the noise, and it could not be resolved.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is easy to find and only a stort walk up the road from the underground station. It is right next to a pub and the train line so take your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. We would definately stay again.
Will definitely stay here again... Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious and clean and ideal for our needs as a family of four! Would definitely recommend these apartments to anybody visiting London. It is situated a stone throw from bus stops and tube stations that will take you anywhere you need to go.
The Reception Staff were pleasant and helpful, but on requesting replacement of missing items in the kitchen, ie no sink plug, l cereal bowl and a badly cracked mug, they took note, but these items never materialised. The Studio was clean overall and we would probably stay again.
Really convenient for traveling around, staff very friendly. Only fault was no air conditioning, and if we opened the window it was quite noisy as our room was onto the Kilburn High Road.
When we got there we were given a key and it was for a twin room when i booked a double, so we went back to reception and got another key - that didnt work in the door. So we finally got the right room and in the morning the shower didnt work, this wasnt convenient at all, firstly we were in a rush when we got there and were messed around wit rooms and then after a long day and night in london a shower in the morning would have been ideal - did not have time for a bath!!!
Problem with room and sent to another hotel. Hotel was further from the centre and of lesser standard. Handled very poorly and a very disappointed to say the least
on arrival we were told there was a leak in our apartment so our first night was spent in the hotel across the road room was nice but had no window so it felt like we staying in a box and we felt this was a fire hazzard as we had no means of escape if there was a fire then on the second day we got into our apartment had no kettle, toaster didnt, work shower in bathroom didnt work although we reported these complaints nothing was done about it this was supposed to be a short break to cheer us up after a loss in the family sadly this wasnt achieved due to these faults
very unprofessional. i was moved to a new crappy hotel (york hotel) due to so quatiers incompetence. I was treated unprofessionally and had a broken bed. it was a horrible experience
Corriders are dark and smell strongly of Indian food. Apartments are very basic and carpets very dirty bed linen and bathroom were very clean but you do not feel like your in a nice place away from home it`s like a bed sit. It`s in a very noisy area we got woken up very early by the clashing of the pub barrels, trains passing by can be disturbing if your not used to this. Hotel staff are friendly. The hotel is quite far from theatre so not easy to get to after theatre and dinner we had to get a taxi as tubes stop Wich cost £25.00. Overall it`s a clean bed and place to stay bit not a treat like other hotels I`ve been to.
We found the SO Quartier was good value for money for a family of four staying in London. We would use these serviced apartments again.
