Make sure you book a room at the rear of the building on a high floor but still take your earplugs because the vibrant nightlife goes on until after 3:00am. Even so, a brilliant place to stay and Caroline ( the boss !! ) really looked after us.
Reception staff were helpful and prepared to make outings for us by phone and internet. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Since the hotel is situated on the edge of the Temple Bar area, it was fairly quiet outside at night. We would stay there again. The Temple Bar area is great for food and pub entertainment.
If you`re looking for somewhere near Temple Bar to stay at a reasoble price and a decent breakfast, give this hotel a try. The rooms were decent enough with everything you needed and staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the side near the bars and although my mate was woken by the revellers from the Czech bar over the road leaving at 3.00 am, I never heard a thing. The breakfast room turns into a nightclub at night which is a bit weird the next morning but id didn`t disturb any sleeping, but that may have been the Guinness.
Staff were very helpful. Lighting throughout the hotel was good for romantics but not good if your trying to work on business. All the lights seemed to be on half power!!
We went to Dublin for a birthday weekend and so weren`t planning on having early nights, which was a good job as the hotel has a livelybar/club next door and if you are on the first floor, like we were, it could be rather noisey (club closes around 2.30am). However, the hotel itself was clean and tidy, service was good and our package included breakfast which was full Irish and/or continental and was excellent. Hotel is well positioned, within walking distance of main bars in Temple bar (5/10mins) and Dublin centre itself (15mins). Dublin is a great city to visit.
Staff were very friendly & helpful and the room was clean and nicely decorated.
I have stayed at hotels all over the world and I would rate the Paramount amongst the top few, for a hotel in Irelands capital, `Dublin`, and to be so near to "Temple Bar", the night life centre it is definately good value with excellent service.
Good position, good food and service, quite noisy on the two nights we were there.
Amazingly nice rooms and excellently situated for the Temple Bar area of the city.
Staff very friendly, good breakfast. Loved the Turk`s head decor fantastic.
nice clean hotel ,friendly and helpful staff, close and handy for the clubs and bars also for the shops in grafton street.overall would definately stay here again thanks
If you`re looking for a hotel in Temple Bar then this is perfect. Walk straight through the main area of Temple Bar and 200 yards later you`re in the hotel. Rooms and facilities are very good and clean. Breakfast is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The quality of service we recieved from hotel staff was excellent, as was the condition of the room. We had a wonderful stay.
All bedrooms should have double glazed sealed units and air conditioning units becasue to leave the windows open to get some cool air, it is far too noisy into the very early hours as Dublin is such a busy place. As the first flight from Dublin back to Teesside means an early departure, Breakfast should be avilable from 7am not 8am. Apart from this the hotel is exceptionally clean and well located.
Stayed at the hotel Paramount for 2 nights in July. Hotel is in a fab location , right on Temple Bar doorstep and walking distance to main attractions ( Guiness Storehouse, O`connell St , Trinity College etc)
We were a bit worried when we arrived that there would be a lot of noise from the Bar downstairs, but I can honestly say, that even though we were only on the first floor, we heard nothing. The hotel is in the perfect location with very easy access to anywhere, there is a hop on hop off bus stop at the top of the road, so even when it`s raining you don`t get too wet!!
Not your fault, but the street noise (Euro 2008) at 3 and 4am was a disturbance. Otherwise excellently situated for our two-day walk of old Dublin. Would recommend to friends on this basis.
The hotel is perfectly situated for the Temple Bar area and the surrounding area. Rooms are of good size and very clean. Would recommend staying at this hotel to any of my friends.
Good standard hotel, clean, fairly modern, comfortable. However my main issue with my stay was the adjacent bar/club (which was open until 4am) underneath the hotel which was very popular with the youngsters, i was lucky enough to have a room over the reception which was marginally quieter than directly over the bar, there was alot of noise on the street until well after the bar closed. However the hotel is slap bang in Temple Bar which is very central. Had a great stay and the staff were very friendly.
Hotel clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful reception staff - none of whom were Irish. Rooms spacious and on the upper floors surprisingly quiet considering the size of the bar/disco on the ground floor. Close to Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, City Hall and Trinity College. Good breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Dublin.
The service from the reception staff was excellent, very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.
This hotel was in a great location for temple bar and night life. Maybe not to everybodies taste but great for me!The rooms were clean and a good size. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also above average. I`d recommend this hotel to anybody having paid a lot more for a lot less in other capital cities.
Dont Stay Here
Wonderful Hotel. Staff Excellent. Great Location.
Good standard hotel, clean bedrooms and decent breakfast.
The hotel was in an excellent location for the Temple bar, the rooms where spacious, and bedding and towels changed daily. The staff where pleasant and very helpful. In all we enjoyed our stay there and would definately be our first choice when visiting Dublin again.
The cheerfullness of the staff and the excellence of the breakfasts will long be remembered by our group of Chelsea Pensioners. Although there are thriving nightspots in the surrounding areas our rooms on the third floor were quiet and airy. I thoroughly recommend the Paramount to those who want comfort and value for money whilst at the same time being close to places of interest and entertainment.
Good location for shopping and nightlife. Rooms were comfortable although a litttle gloomy. Service was efficient and friendly.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very good and within walking distance of all the pubs and shops.
This hotel was close to everything someone needs to have a great time in Dublin. Close enough to tourist attractions such as Dublin Castle and the Guinness Brewry, as well as bring on top of the bars and clubs. Staff were polite, food was great, overall we had a great stay. I had a great stay here and would recommend it!
Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and really helpful . Nothing is too much trouble for them. This is the second time i have stayed there and will definately be back,i would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other people.
small but nice rooms. well furnished and very clean. decent breakfast and good central location. crazy bar/club on the ground floor/basement which was good fun although not suitable for a quiet night cap!
Excellent location, smart clean rooms, highly attentive staff - would stay here again
