Hotel was well maintained with clean rooms and restaurant. Could do with a softer bed (my preference only) and softer towels.
bit far out from shops and bars etc.
Excellent food and customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed, only problem was the very uncomfortable foldout-beds in the family room.
bed and bathrooom bit tired looking.
Excellent central location, get used to using the public transport which is excellent. Comfortable rooms, and excellent housekeeping. Be prepared for no portering. Any additions/extras, staff can be slow to respond.
Used the hotel as a base for a visit to Wimbledon and generally very satisfied; efficient check-in, decent breakfast and cleanliness good overall. An unexpected bonus was I think we got upgraded to a larger room which had probably the best bed of any hotel I`ve ever stayed in; very comfortable! The only downside is that it`s probably about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the nearest district line tube stations at either Fulham Broadway or Parsons Green. That wasn`t a major issue to us as we were aware of the hotel`s location at the time of booking and were travelling relatively light. However, if you`ve got a large suitcase or two and it happpens to be raining just be warned you may need a taxi to get you from the underground to the hotel; it`s easy to assume that all hotels in London are relatively close to a tube station but this one isn`t! It is close to the station at Imperial Wharf but that seems to be for overground trains only and hence the convenience is not the same as the tube.
Only drawback is its location. Chelsea is a big place. The best tube station is Fulham Broadway-approx 10 min walk
why when we actually booked in did it say that the rooms were£71.50 when we paid £98.00 each
from the cleanliness of the room and the courteous and efficient staff. The breakfast was first class and the staff were smiling and helpful. The housekeeping in the room was brilliant and we had no fault whatsoever with anything. We would go again which says it all!
Despite calling the hotel a week after the booking and 2 days before arrival we encountered problems at reception. They said that according to their reservation system we were booked to stay the following night. Fortunately I had the paperwork with me that confirmed our booking for that night otherwise we would have been left with no rooms. This resulted in a delay of 45 minutes at reception while they completed their bboking in procedure. Most annoying. Having got over the reception hurdble our rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good although there seemed to be a problem with the hot food buffet service in that they couldn`t supply bacon fast enough to satisfy demand. Overall not too bad but room for improvement.
Had a nice room - we thought until a loud electrical buzzing woke us up repeatedly through the night.
Noisy on a Saturday night because of street noise from drunks and persons vacating the bar. Shower controls were domestic controls which broke away in the hand. Very difficult to travel to especially when Earls Court tube station is closed for police emergencies
Above average room for price and by comparison to what I paid to stay in Docklands this week, incredible value. Spacious room/bathroom, nice toiletries. Only problem was noisy people in next room who woke me at 5.30 a.m., But not fault of hotel.
The hotel was clean with well appointed modern rooms, tea/coffee making facilities and flat screen tv with some limited digital channels. We stayed in a double room which had a large Queen size bed, a little firm for my liking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Basic food is served by the hotel and is of reasonable quality and price; from memory, Spaghetti Bolognase was £9.95. Buffet style cooked breakfast (and cereal/fruit) is served for £10 per person unless it is included in the room rate negotiated and was average. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend it. The only negative to consider is that it is approximately a £7 taxi ride to the Kings Road and a little out of the way of the action as there didnt seem much much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. On our next trip, we might attempt to find somewhere a little more central to the shops/bars etc...
Good value for money, friendly staff, clean hotel and close to all London`s attractions.
very happy with hotel for short break..Easy to access as beside Imperial Wharf train station which links into underground system. This wasn`t explained when booking the hotel so got off at tube further from the hotel.
Nice hotel. Clean and modern. Bit awkward to get to from central london but handy for kings road- great shopping and restaurants, and knightsbridge.
the room we stay in was good only the shower was hot, and could control the tempurturemy grandson could not get into the shower that was the only complaint. And Chelsea F.C. only drew against Everton.
Jurys Inn Chelsea is a good clean hotel in a good location for visiting london. However on our second morning breakfast was chaotic to say the least! The restaurant and breakfast facilities were found to be seriously inadequate when the hotel was full, with many people queing out of the restaurant and having to wait 20min+ to get to the buffet. Not enough seats in the restaurant either, meaning people had to carry their breakfast to sit in the bar and reception area. Perhaps staggering breakfast times for the extremely large party booking would have been wise under the circumstances? The other fault we found was with the bathroom in the hotel room, a fairly simple fault of no air extraction when the toilet has been used, meaning smells hang around for quite sometime! Seems to have been overlooked during construction, so not sure what could be done about this. Perhaps providing air fresheners in bathrooms?
There were four people on the booking but the room was not set up for four. The put-up sofa bed was made so that when we opened it it was useable, but there were no pillows (the two spare were used for the main bed and we would have expected two spares for the main bed plus two for the sofa bed. There were only two bath sized towels. Extra towels and pillows were delivered promptly when requested. We later realised we only had two cups and two glasses. We requested two extra glasses and these never materialised.
Low price for 3 night stay great value.would go back.
My family of 5 stayed here as a base for London. The rate was very reasonable for a very clean room, which was well serviced. The staff helped us with everything we asked and although we didn`t include breakfast with the room we did eat in the hotel which was good food. Great location with good quality local pubs, restaurants and shops and great for accessinto central london and even better for Kensington Museums. We are incredibly satisfied with this choice of hotel, would use it again and now going to get some sleep after a week in London with 3 kids under 10!!!
Room was airy, spacious and well equipped, my eldest son was impressed with the flat screen television. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly especially with our lively 2 year old! Good choice at breakfast. The only downside was that the hotel was some distance from the nearest tube station (Fulham Broadway)
+Good service, all emplyees were serviceminded in a genuine way. +Breakfast was excellent. - rooms could have been better; the water in our bathroom did not run into the shower outlet , but flooded the bathroomfloor. We had to use several towels to dry the floor after each shower.
Hotel excellent, spotless, staff very efficient. Only black mark is that when ordering food in the bar, service can be slow. This seems to be a fault with all the Jury`s Inns that we have stayed in. This is the one and only complaint
Hotel clean, staff friendly, food lovely overall an enjoyable stay thankyou
Enjoyed the hotel but had booked it as it stated it was near The Royal Albert Hall but a 10 min walk and two tube rides wasn`t what I would call close.
