"Booked 3 single beds"

I booked 3 single beds in a room and when I got to the hotel we had 1 single and a double this was not suitable I complained to the manager but he said the hotel was full and couldn`t help and the 3 single beds was subject to availability.Which is not what I`d booked.I specifically chose this hotel because of the 3 single beds.It spoilt the stay and I ended up sleeping on the floor under my coat.I also thought the manager wasn`t bothered in the least.

"The Byron "

We were given room 501 for two females sharing. The twin beds were small but very comfortable. The room was compact but adequate. We slept fine. The shower room was small but shower was powerful enough. The breakfast room had plenty of tables and the food was fresh and tasty with ok choice

"Hotel attractive, clean, staff friendly and helpful. Perfect location for public transport."

We enjoyed our stay, and found the Hotel staff efficient and helpful. The Hotel was very attractive and clean and our room perfect for a short stay. The breakfast was good, though I was surprised that no provision was made for a gluten free diet. However I believe that this is under consideration. Unfortunately as a coeliac I do need this diet. We would stay at the Hotel again in the future.

"Lovely small hotel near Hyde Park "

We stayed at the Byron Hotel when going to see The Eagles in Hyde Park this weekend. Everyone was very helpful and the rooms were clean and functional. An ideal place to stay for further Hyde Park events.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It`s close to many tourist attractions and located in a pleasant, quiet street. The room was small but very clean.

Ideal hotel location being right next to Hyde park and two tube stations very close. Really lovely staff and the room was perfect. The bed is was so comfortable.

"Really good hotel ideal location "

The hotel is currently under going renovation which meant that the kitchens were closed. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were decorated to a very high standard. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious.

"Good but no breakfast"

I spent 2 nights in October 21 at the Byron Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. My only regret is that there was no possibility to have a breakfast, even though on the website they said breakfast was available. They explained that it was because of COVID, but other cafés and restaurants were open.

"Pleasant stay"

Booked a compact double room, which it was, but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. It was clean, equipped with TV and tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom also clean and bed comfortable. Check in was friendly. Continental Breakfast was included which was good. Overall an enjoyable stay

"Very below average hotel"

We were booked into a small double. For small read tiny! The `small` bed (4`) had one side against a wall which made getting in and out very difficult. The warm air vents obviously did not work because there was a small oil filled portable radiator--which was sufficient. Tea and coffee was provided, just, but no sweeteners and only one tea spoon. I drink coffee my wife has tea, did the owners not think we might need two spoons? We had a terrible night of non-sleep on a hard mattress. The shower room was also very small with the fixed shower head protruding from the wall which was OK for my 5` wife but meant me having to have the shower head turned horizontally because it was at face height. A 6` person would not be able to stand up in the shower. The sink tap wobbled and one of the two lights needed a new bulb. On the plus side the WiFi was excellent and was the continental breakfast. We definitely would not stay there again.

"Hotel Byron"

We got a room on the lower ground level. The room looked cosy at first glance, but there was almost no daylight, the windows were drafty, the beds were hard, the toilet didn`t flush proberly and there was a lot of noise from upstairs and next door - also during the night. When we arrived there was a constant humming sound in the room - which the staff luckily managed to get rid off, but later the extractor in the bathroom kept going and would not turn off. We asked for another room, and was promised a new room within a day - but nothing happened. The breakfast was awful and we decided to go out for breakfast. The best thing to say about the hotel is the location - it is marvellous!

Hotel very clean, staff very nice and helpful. There were a few issues with the loo, it kept getting blocked and needed flushing quite a few times but nothing worth complaining about. Our only issue was getting woke up each morning at 8.30 but workmen in the road but again that would only be a temp issue and didn`t bother us too much. Breakfast was very nice.

The Byron was clean and bright and the staff were friendly and helpful . We were in a small double which was adequate for a three night stay . The only downside was the noise of the traffic all night . I would stay again but request a room at the back of the hotel.

We chose The Byron in connection with our rail ticket as it seemed a good deal. Whilst the hotel has no frills the location to visit the sites of London was perfect. Room was clean though small. Beds were comfy enough and shower was pretty good. Breakfast was continental and enough to start the day. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated two roads along from the Queensway underground and queensway is a vibrant road of restaurants and shops. You can walk across Hyde Park to the manor museums and K knightsbridge or catch a 94 bus to Oxford Street. I would certainly use this again

"Good location for west end Theatres and London in general"

This is the second time we have used the Byron as a base to explore London. Great location with the underground on its door step and staff friendly and helpful. We shall return and would recommend as for the price you can not beat it.

Well located for all attractions with transport links close at hand. Very friendly staff and no hassle check in. Slightly dated but do not let this detract from what was a faultless and great stay. Highly recommended.

"Good location to get to Piccadilly Circus but hotel not great"

Hotel wasn`t up to a 3* standard. Room wasn`t ready when we arrived. Had to wait til 220 pm. Windows rattled so much. Air con not working. Bathroom needs a refurb as it is very tired - broken tiles on the wall and floor and mould on grouting etc. Breakfast was ok. Handy location for theatre and ok for 1 night but glad we were leaving. Issues with train tickets on the way there as price on ticket was shown as £0.05 and train manager was rude and treated us as though we hadn`t paid for them when in total I paid £412 for the train, hotel and theatre. Ended up buying a return ticket for £65 ! This was a present for my partner and I ended up feeling embarrassed by the train issues and sub-standard hotel.

Very clean , comfortable and totally adequate. The floors above us were very squeaky and noisy with people walking around on them early morning which was annoying. Staff were very helpful at all times. Overall was very good.
