"Poor housekeeping "

The management liaison with the maintenance team was very poor quality the man arrived to unblock the sink when the problem was the sink stopper would not stay closed.We could not have a wash and I could not shave. This was very bad considering the price of the room

"Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely comfortable room "

We managed to check in early as our room was ready, welcomed by friendly staff. Our room was comfortable with plenty of space for me and my sister. The shower did leak, so please look at that as we did soak a towel! The bed was amazingly comfortable. Good work!

"Hotel has perfect location for shopping and Winterwonderland."

Hotel is lovely with large reception area and very helpful and friendly staff. At check-in, we had the option of bath tub or walk in shower. The room was larger than expected (we had a standard twin) with fridge including daily top ups of bottles of water. We didn`t eat in hotel restaurants but did have room service which is reasonably priced. The hotel were quite mean with the toiletries and sugar and I didn`t like the maids knocking on my door at 8.15 and walking in before I even had a chance to get up from my bed to answer door. The lifts are a nightmare during busy periods and you need to wait for some time before you can get in one. However I would return as the location outways any minor disappointments I have.

This hotel is a victim of it`s size and location. Because of the shear volume of guests it was always a long wait for a lifts. We used the back stairs several times.. On leaving the hotel it took us 15 minuets to get from the second floor too the reception. Room Service was none existent, we waited for an hour and gave up and went to sleep.The staff were always friendly

"Would stay here again!"

A very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Breakfast was great and so is the executive lounge providing free drinks and snacks. A very enjoyable stay and very reasonably priced.

"Excellent location to see London."

Hotel very nice and near to all amenities, A good Base to explore all of what London as to offer. If you get room 5052 ask to move bed up against wall. Moved room no problem, Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay in this hotel next visit to london.

"Good for short stopover"

The hotel is in a good position for getting around London. The tube is next door. Rooms are basic but good enough for a short stay. However as with most everywhere else in London, prices are ridiculously high for the standard of room. For that reason, this is three stars at best.

I was not Aware that this is more or less a dedicated Hotel for Middle East and India..............there is no problem with ethnics but if somebody does not like all the totally closed clothes, do not stay at Cumberland.

Had a lovely stay. Room nice, enjoyed food in Brasserie one night & food good. Breakfast choice was excellent. Due to being out all day at Wimbledon we were unable to make use of the club lounge facilities - would be nice to be able to use the lounge after 8pm in the evening. Overall a lovely hotel in a great location, will stay again.

"Perfect!"

Friendly and helpful staff when I requested a room change from one overlooking the internal area to a street facing window, as I have adverse health issues with `internal rooms`. Despite the hotel being virtually full, the staff were patient and kind in locating a suitable room, for which I was very grateful.

"Great Location"

Great location, lovely hotel with an exceptional breakfast, this is the reason we keep returning to this hotel. The concierge were great both on arrival and departure. Our room was in the annex this time which is just over the road. The only down was the time we got to our room. After check in we were asked to come back at 3 pm,we returned at 4 pm yet the room wasn`t ready until 5.30 pm which was disappointing as we were late for the planned concert.

"First class accommodation in the perfect setting."

Staff were ALL most helpful and pleasant. On entering the hotel early on Sunday afternoon to leaving on Monday morning we were greeted with smiles. Will certainly look to visit again when next in London.

Reception staff always excellent. Some small issues - batteries in remote not working, towel rail not heating up - ut I wasn`t there long enough to ask someone to fix it. Although I stayed two nights I spent very little time in the room. Overall good location, good breakfast choice and good value for money.

"Overall the hotel was very good the staff are attentive and the hotel location was good."

One major complaint that we did have was that the executive lounge breakfast was an absolute disgrace and disappointment to begin with there was no food available the staff appeared to be disinterested when the food did arrive it was lukewarm and served on ice cold plates I brought it to the attention of the waiter who said that it was supposed to be served on Cold plates. Obviously this was a nonsense I`ve had a word with the manager and in the hall fairness she was most apologetic and I appreciate his concern. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant who was satisfied but left it to myself to make this complaint, which I regard as quite a serious one, however I have to say again your manager handled my complaint magnificently, I would hesitate to book you again if this is the standard you set in the Brek in the executive breakfast lounge !!

"The amazing Cumberland Hotel"

The Hotel reception staff were so lovely and attentive, the room the executive suite was large, tastefully decorated and the bed so comfortable.The attention to detail was the best. we cannot wait to come back. "Perfect spot, excellent"

We booked this hotel primarily for its position near Hyde Park for the BST concerts. Wow from the moment you approach the hotel with its doormen and huge lobby area filled with modern art and sculptures , I knew we`d made the right choice. We had an executive room which was spacious clean and well equipped , with a fantastic view over Oxford street and Marble Arch. Breakfast was fantastic, with everything you could possibly desire, including an omelette bar and a pastry counter as well as all the usuals. I loved this hotel and will definitely be coming again

"Wonderful, professional, friendly, kind. Everyone makes you feel special. Nothing too much bother."

I turned up rather upset after being let down by a booking company. I had traveled across London to get this room and was greeted with a friendly smile and a welcoming conversation. Upgraded straight away as it was my birthday and nothing seemed too much bother. Professional, smart and polite. You guys really made my weekend. We`ll definitely book again. Thank you.
