The hotel is situated above a petrol station so the frontage is not particularly good.Entry is via a side door into a lift lobby then reception on 1st floor.Standard room but housekeeping not great,hairs in bath and item of clothing from previous guest on floor.We felt like second class citizens for some reason,we were the only people not offered snacks in the bar and although it was table service I had to keep going back to the bar to request service.In the morning there was an issue with the breakfast which they said wasn`t included despite it being in writing on our booking and confirmed by reception when booking in.While mistakes happen thetissues was sorted in public in the restaurant in front of other guests was highly embarrassing.In the end I had to go to reception,which was all of 10 yards away from the restaurant ,to sort it. (they blamed hotels direct).Overall the hotel was OK but staff were inconsiderate and unhelpful.
Just had a one night stay In the Thistle Kensignton Gardens. This hotel is very good value for money. The staff are well presented and are very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were very clean and were finished to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of hot and cold items with an `all you can eat` feel. Hotel is very well situated, within walking distance of Oxford Street and Notting Hill. I stayed here to go to a show in the Royal Albert Hall and it was very cheap to get tehre and back in a Black Cab.
Room very small, clean and bed fairly comfortable. It appears that guests from European countries were allocated the rooms overlooking Hyde Park. The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. The staff were excellent.

Room not available [ready] on arrival at 3.30 pm asked to wait in friends room and would send key later .room key arrived 4.10 .early dinner booked for 4.30 food expensive with slow service an only average quality Reception good at helping to sort problem with show tickets, overall not bad but for 3star

the staff were all helpful and friendly and we ate an evening meal at the hotel and all enjoyed our meal. our stay was very enjoyable.
Very good customer service and care. Was a little annoyed at the early fire alarm. Need to work on the quality of the hot breakfast. Storage space in the rooms was limited which caused a lot of floor space to be occupied. Other than that, a very pleasant stay in an ideal location.

Good value for money 4star rating Maldives up to it. Breakfast was reasonably priced and good. Room very clean and shower excellent. Beds comfortable. Would consider staying in future. Concierge was really helpful and knowledgeable.

Excellent location; wonderful staff; lovely clean, comfortable room. Just one (very minor complaint), we were on the second floor and there was a door banging constantly from early morning, we think probably in the kitchen as it sounded like a swing door with no closer on it. Would definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly stay there again.
We have just returned from a weekend at this hotel to celebrate my husbands 40th Birthday. The hotel surpassed my expectations. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to make the stay special for us including leaving a cake in our room for my husbands birthday. The hotel itself is very clean, fresh and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed wonderful views across the gardens and were well located to explore London. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely go back!
Great location, great rooms with an excellent view, friendly helpful staff.
Executive double room was very nice and a good size, staff were at-tentative, polite and helpful. However the food in the brasserie was terrible and the breakfast was average and very dis-organised. Good location for Hyde Park, Albert Hall etc and a handy Waitrose in the adjoining petrol station for snacks and drinks (only enough teabags for 2 cups in the room).
Standard room small but very clean. Staff at reception were very nice. Chef and crew were very nice and accomodating also.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were going to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. We were delighted with every aspect of our stay: the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff (first rate); the quality and cleanliness of our room and the tasty and plentiful breakfast. Amazing value in the heart of London. TOTALLY recommended.
Great to have a car park in central London. Wonderful service in restaurant at lunch time although menu limited. Breakfast superb. Air conditioning sysetem worked well so could keep window closed to avoid the traffc noise. Very convenient for tube and walks in Kensington Gardens

The staff were friendly and helpful but the room was tiny! Barely enough room for the 2 of us to move around and forget trying to open a suitcase while in it! Other than that, comfortable and quiet and easy access by bus and tube to Oxford Street.
Room fine, if small. Very clean and nicely appointed though. Food was very overpriced, cold and poor. 12.5% service charge for poor service from a waiter who was inattentive and slow. Didn`t even clear our plates at the end, we left after growing tired of waiting. Breakfast was lovely which somewhat redeemed it. Good location. Think would have been fine if we hadn`t eaten a meal there.
very clean and well run hotel
Two small comments; 1)The doors to the corridor on the eighth floor slammed shut and so were very noisy when a lot of guests were moving in or out. 2) The shower tray was treacherous to stand in when soapy wet. A mat should be made availble in the room not only on request.

the hotel is of a good quality and is tastefully decorated and better than some 4* london hotels I`ve stayed in. however the room was quite small with very thin walls. good value for the big discounted price £90, but wouldn`t consider it if paying the rack rate.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were very helpfull and attentive. The room was clean and spacious and the staff upgraded our room as it was my girlfriends birthday. Also the duty manager on finding out about the birthday left a cake in the room. Lovely suprise, and shows attention to detail that would make me specifically look for this chain of hotels in the future. Great views of the london skyscrape from our room on the 9th floor.
