Room was comfortable. Reception was efficient. However. £28 for two gins and tonic in my room was ludicrously overpriced. Never again.

Air con was very noisy and the shower was stuck on a hot setting and didn`t have a lot of pressure so the water dribbled out

"Excellent location,friendly staff,very clean rooms nice and warm."

This is the third time staying at The Corus and the only moan we have is that the double bed was against the wall so I had to climb over my husband to get out. Apart from that I would recommend it but just check the position of the beds!

"Enjoyable and will stay again"

Wow, ok here it is. The hotel has a grand appearance as you enter you can sense that "class with a modern twist" will be the words you be using. The staff are warm and welcoming with enthusiasm. The rooms in my mind is cozy and good for the value. We will be visiting this hotel again as it was in a beautiful location looking over Hyde park. People that say something negative about this hotel have no taste.

We have used Corus Hyde Park twice and would definately recommend it. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the heating in our room and the problem was solved within minutes of us speaking to reception. It is in a great spot - 15 minute walk from Paddington and a 5 minute walk from nearest tube station. Right opposite Hyde Park too which is great. Would highly recommend and will definately use again.

"LOVELY HOTEL - SHAME ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE BEDROOM!"

The experience at the hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent; really good quality and choice. However, our room (811) was very small for a double and the bed could only be accessed from one side - this was very unexpected and disappointing; had we been staying for longer we would have raised this as an issue. That said, the room was extremely well thoughtout and spotlessly clean.

"Tea and coffee with.offered; there was not enough milk supplied to more than 1 cup between us"

All Hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The main entrance was Awesome and of the highest quality with a beautiful chandellars and a expensive piano being played skillfully. We were also Greeted by a Superb Dining and Bar area; with a quiet area near reception. You would never believe from the outside what lay within. So I will never book any Hotel without at least checking out what`s it offers and appears within; Moreso Now!

"Hotel in need of attention"

On arrival there was one person at the desk (who was very well presented and polite) but another person with their back to the desk who did not turn around for the whole time. Various members of staff came to front of house, but despite there being a queue nobody stepped in or helped. The twin room was very small and the bathroom was very tired and very small, not much bigger than a cloackroom. Our room looked onto a brick wall. Breakfast was buffet style and perfectly ok, but not wow. I would say the hotel would be a 3* and certainly a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn would compare in the same bracket.

"Great value "

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with a friend in a twin room the only minor downside was the size of the room but other than that staff were friendly and welcoming room was clean and presentable overall a good hotel great value. Will be staying again.

"Hotel correct et bien situé"

Hotel confortable - la réservation d` une chambre familiale n`avait pas été prise en compte mais l hÃ`tel nous a proposé une autre chambre acceptable meme si le lit etait un canapé convertible. Le petit déjeuner non compris dans le prix de la chambre est extrêmement cher et il vaut mieux sortir dans un pub tout proche.

"Great acommodations... When purchased at a discount."

Pros: -location (beside Hyde Park; 2 minutes to Lancaster gate tube station; walking distance marble arch, padding ton station and lots of restaurants and pubs) - decent amenities - but more like 3 stars - multiple restaurants with decent food Cons: - overpriced if you payed a 4 star rate - terrible service at hotel bars and restaurant

"Great Nights stay"

We had a great nights stay. The staff were very helpful and we had an enjoyable meal followed by a great evenings entertainment by Paul Toshner. This is the third time we have stayed and intend to stay again

"Standard rooms must be really basic."

We upgraded to a `Viceroy Room`, seemed pretty basic to us for £214 room only! Room had grubby carpets and chair coverings, tiny sink in bathroom. But it was quiet, and the beds were fine, so OK overall.

Reception was excellent,the staff being cheerful,friendly and efficient. Also very helpful. Our room,though clean ,was dark and small and not particularly well-appointed.Had the necessary but no frills.Gym and adjoining restaurant were closed.

The toilet flush was weak and had problems with clearing quickly. The sink was blocked as water clogged and we had to take out the sink steel bit when the water drains.

Hotel was conveniently located for our stay and rooms were not huge but very compact and very comfortable beds and had everything we needed. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful!

Great location, nice room, very clean. Tiny ensuite, fan didn`t work. Lifts were "interesting". Didn`t eat at the hotel so can`t comment on that but my friend and I were quite happy overall. Would recommend.
