405 Viceroy, Executive room with extra space: Some nice extra touches (wont spoil the surprise). small bathroom. Remarkably quiet give the hotel location. (Windows closed.) Three stair steps from lift to room, so not suitable for some. Unusual use of wardrobe area for kettle etc. but no suitable plug in wardrobe. A few minor maintenance issues for a room of this class, but not worth mentioning.
Front desk staff welcoming and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay again.
Bedroom facilities good. Decor needs updating or cleaned. Carpets need urgent cleaning. More staff required at morning checkout. Food and drink prices too expensive. Location excellent. Good breakfast.
Hotel position is ideal for the underground station and mainline Paddington. All the staff are exceptionally attentive and polite. Didn`t eat here but looked really good and spoke to some other guests who said that it was very good. Would definitely recommend.
Nice hotel in a good spot for exploring all London has to offer. Rooms were a little tired but overall a very nice stay
Would use this hotel again in the future.
The staff in the bar/cafe were a little slow and not quite sure what we were ordering, 1 x normal coffee and a cappachino. The breakfast was very good as always but not very hot. The main problem however, was the aircon/heating in the room was not warm and thus the room was very cold. We switched it off but all through the night and the following morning every now and again there was a whining noise which was very disturbing. We did report this to reception on our departure. We find it strange not to have a mini-bar in such a good hotel and the tea/coffee/milk and sugar all lumped together in a Twinings tea caddy, looked messy and not very professional. Overall though we do like the hotel and will probably return.
THE HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT ON THE WHOLE THE ONLY FAULT WAS THAT AT BREAKFAST TIME THEY WERE VERY SHORTSTAFFED AND THERE WAS ALONG WAIT FOR A TABLE AND WE WERE NOT OFFERED TEA/COFFEE OR TOAST
I felt that this was very expensive for the quality of the room
The Staff are so helpful the hotel is so clean and such a comfy bed to sleep on breakfast and staff are clean tidy professional ,I will stay again and reccomend to my friends who use hotels thanks corus at Hyde park and happy Christmas to you all
A weekend away in London, great value for money and wasn`t expecting a lot from the hotel as we weren`t going to be in there for long, the room was lovely!! Modern, clean and tidy. Friendly staff and exceeded My expectations. Comfy rooms, lovely bathroom and a nice and cosy atmosphere. Would defiantly go back again!!
Hotel did not keep promise, two pokey rooms, Stayed in London for my 50th birthday, with my family (hence two rooms booked). both very small , showers did not work pr0pperly and the aircon stuck on high. Had a good time in London but felt let down by the accomodation
Hotel was in good location staff helpful room was a little tired but was very clean and pleasant. Bed was against one wall but was very comfortable and no problem. We had an enjoyable stay and will be back again
I`m sorry but for GBP131.78, which was actually a cut-price deal, I expected a lot more than a box room with a bathroom only suitable for smurfs! And this was actually advertised at £300+ normal rate! For this? For one night? It`s all very well having a semi-grand collonaded entrance, revolving doors and a foyer awash with drivetime jazz, but maximising floor space by cramming in as many rooms as possible is just typical of declining hotel standards. Perhaps you could use some of my hard-earned cash to double-glaze your windows so that the next person who stays might not be kept awake all night by the endless stream of traffic. And then you have the cheek to charge on top of the room an extra £14.95 for breakfast. Disgusting! I`d ask for a refund if I thought there was any chance of getting one, but what does it matter to a hotelier with a Lancaster Gate location who can bank on the next busload of Japanese tourists rolling into rip-off London town? Marks out of 10: A big fat zero!!
I paid £129 for a twin room for one night for my friends birthday treat, the room at first I felt was small and the bathroom not great however after consideration I realized that what you pay for is the location its brilliant for shopping with Lancaster gate tube line 1 minute walk and around 2 stops to oxford street. Would recommend but can be expensive for a long weekend.
Great location for shopping in Oxford Street, only 2 stops away on the central line
Bedrooms were very small - double beds against wall on one side. Sound proofing between rooms very poor - kept awake on first night by two ladies chatting excitedly (in Russian). On plus side, location excellent, breakfast excellent and service very friendly - although concerned about group of people who`d had too much to drink trying to get into the locked piano and breaking it......
Standard rooms quite small. Ours had the double bed against the wall making it difficult for two elderly people with mobility problems. Otherwise comfortable and convenient. We had a very quiet room even though the hotel is in a busy part of London. Excellent breakfast.
Good size room. Chocolates on pillow! Bathroom although perfectly adequate was just that. Tea, coffee (ground and instant) and hot chocolate plentifully supplied.
Around 8 somebody knock so I did not open but at 9 another knock and opened it, found out it was housekeeping. Really annoyed because still early.
The Hotel was located on a very busy main road . taxi,s were always waiting to take you to your destination . we did have a problem on the morning we booked breakfast .the bacon tray was empty , after asking staff for more Bacon , no -one understood and took control of the situation ,
not safe booking by telephone with hotel direct very nice when booking not so helpful when problem arises
Housekeeping when we checked in was lacking in some areas, and not having things like toothbrush, slippers, robes was a bit inconvenient. Gave us the wrong room, a double instead of the twins we booked. Impolite service. I have. Feeling we got the best room as it was named as oppose to just having a number but still a general poor impression.2/5 location was amazing though if you`re just looking for a comfy bed.
Clean, Tidy and convenient to Hyde Park (attending concert), I would stay there again
Very nice looking hotel as you walk into reception, really good location and staff were very friendly. The double room was a lot smaller than expected. Also I was kept wake untill gone 1.00am as it sounded like someone in a near room was banging pipes together.
Very small room with the double bed right up against one wall and very little room the other side. Bathroom was small with tiny sink. No fridge or mini bar or bottles of water. Room smelt funny. Walls are so thin that you could dlearly hear what people were saying in the next room. Breakfast room was nice, light and airy . Hotel in a good position opposite hyde park.
Good value for money, excellent location , friendly staff. Altogether good
Having just got back from a concert at midnight, it would have been nice for the bar to remain open longer so that we could have had more than one beer
It is an oustanding hotel in the centre of London and everyone is helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It is relaxing, well decorated and the breakfast is 1st class. The staff are very attentive and willing to help at all times. Thank you
