Easy to get from the tube to the hotel and girl on reception was very efficient. Room very nice and clean. Our windows rattled all night even though we stuffed them with tissues. It`s noises in London so difficult to sleep with traffic and the windows

Very pleased we had room with shower but found the shower too powerful and unable to turn it down also room was to near pub and very noisy.

Booking was clearly made to be a twin bedroom. Myself and my friend arrived to find the room was a double bed style. After telling reception they changed our room unfortunately to another double bed room. After explaining what is meant by a twin (2 single bed room) the reception staff said they had a room available on the ground floor if that`s ok with us? Surely they should have had this arranged on the original booking. The room ended up being on the ground floor and ran down. My friend found stray hairs in the sink and it had a faulted light so I imagine this room is barely used and we were put into this substandard room by the hotels own error.

Just wish I could of had a coffee after 10pm

Brilliant location for the theatres. Was very clean and the rooms were perfect

Room small enough for single person not a couple, but was clean. Room was also next to a pub, asked to move rooms but was told fully booked, when they really wasn`t. Would not stay or recommend this hotel for the price I paid

Staff were lovely . Breakfast excellent. Hotel was a bit tired which can be excused due to age of building. Room we were given was not good smelt of smoke so we asked for a move which they did with no problems. The hotel was in an excellent position for all our needs. Rooms were a bit sparse. Nothing to soften it, nice colourful rug or pillows may have helped it feel more homely.Mainly a base for use so it worked well in that respect.

Mikes from venue and basic. Staff brusque and unfriendly especially duty manager. Nobody on bar? had to ask for it to be opened. Definitely wouldn`t use again

Hotel was very well placed for theatre but many of Londons tourist attractions too highly recommended breakfast was very good too

The hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs. It was just a dining room and bedrooms. There was a small bar within the dining room that was open in the evening. There were no extra lounge areas to sit in though. It was 3 minute walk to Russel Square tube and 8 minute walk from Holbourn tube. There was a small Tesco and a Sainsburys near by. There was a small lift.Staff were very accommodating. Would recommend and would re-visit. Quiet for sleeping.

Clean, friendly. Perfect location for shows. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and cosy. Only negative was the shower doesn`t drain great but that`s being very picky.

Lighting was poor in rooms, except in the bathroom and there was no extraction in the bathroom which meant that the mirror misted up when you used the shower and took a while to clear which was not good for applying make-up in preparation to go as the lighting in the room itself meant that it was not practical to apply make-up there. In addition, there was no drawers to place clothing etc. in.

Great location and really pleasant set up though the rooms are quite small. We had a wheelchair user in our party and 1 tiny lift for 6 floors made it a little difficult for us. The staff were very warm and friendly

Our room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The only complaint would be that the plug in the bathroom hand basin wasn`t working. So there was a residue of scum that be left in the sink. The plug was a push in to seal and then push in to release the plug. It was not working at all.

Comfortable but felt a bit dated, could do with updating.

Arrived to be informed hotel was overbooked and to go to sister hotel at Holborn. Reception gave us a double not a twin room, we requested a twin and had to wait for the room to be made up. We sat in the bar and returned to our room 40 mins later and the beds had still not been made up. Reception finally sent housekeeping to our room 10 mins later. I have never experienced this and find it quite shocking. Also there was mould on the bathroom blind. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star

The hotel looks in need of a total refurb. Our bedroom had mould in it, the plumbing wea poor, the shower cold. Poor quality all round. Staff lovely

Room 16 ground floor, corridors on way to room very shabby with peeling paint and smell of damp, bathroom very poor shower tray overflowed toilet cistern very noisy, Noise from AC units outside window required ear plugs to be able to sleep..Hotel seems to be in middle of refurbishment..

Staff are lovely. Hotel is a little tired and noisy, but clean. Beds comfortable and fine for an overnight stay.

Bit grubby , hair in shower. Very noisy from main road, understandable as busy road . Didn`t feel very secure, no one really monitoring as came into hotel. Could hear everything from room above

Pleasantly surprised was able to check in early as room was ready, helpful staff main room basic but CLEAN no wifi/netflix tv Shower curtain and blind in bathroom grotty/mouldy and need replacing, tap water when boiled is HORRIBLE Despite this the hotel is more than adequate for what we needed, perfectly situated for theatre lots of decent restaurants within walking distance, would be happy to return

The room desperately needs updating. The bedroom furniture was shabby and the small bathroom smelled of urine which transferred into the room itself if the door wasn`t fully closed. On a positive note the bedding and towels were brilliant white and very clean. The towels were changed daily and the tea/coffee replenished daily. The kettle in the room would not stay on as the switch must have been faulty as it kept turning itself off. Despite the breakfast being 5* we would not book this hotel again due to the room as described. Described as excellent on your website but most definitely was not.
