This hotel is what it is , it`s cheap and right next to a railway. It`s not a hotel for romance and posh dining, it is however 1 minute from the DLR making it great for people who are in London to actually see London and not their hotel room. Room size was not to bad clean enough but could do with a little revamp, bathroom is small but it does the job. Shower was a power shower and it had an in build hairdryer so no need to bring one. Staff were friendly enough :)
Ibis is hotel never fails same standard worldwide good for transport links DLR and buses Nice clean room staff accomodating Free mobile phone to use during your stay invaluable for use travelling round Lndon
Good rooms and excellent breakfast. Not so keen on the attached pub, but didn`t need to go there as good refreshments available in the hotel itself
Quite basic, but ideal for the O2. The customer service was excellent and the room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was also very good.
Beautiful hotel. Staff was lovely. Thank you for making us feel welcome. Xx
Good, but would benefit from 3rd lift being installed.
Had to be careful what temperature we set the shower at, as went from comfortable to quite hot, and then to quite cold, continually throughout your shower. I suppose this stops people from spending hours in it!
Modern, clean, friendly, great location which is made even more ideal when you are attending an event at the Excel centre as it is literally a stones throw from it. A DLR station also immediately outside. Off road secure parking was available too. Good breakfast which was included in the price of our overnight stay.
Welcoming reception staff, nice breakfast, good sized room. Great value
Very helpful and polite staff. Rooms very clean. Excellent value for money. Ideal hotel to stay in if visiting the excel
Staff pleasant and friendly.Very convenient for O2. rooms clean but basic and rather small - the bathroom in particular was similar size as on a plane but with a small shower with curtain. Didn`t use as looked so cramped and suspected water would go everywhere. Unfortuntely had room next to lift which kept my daughter and I awake/ woke up as it went up and down and explained loudly - `Level 2 .lift going down, lift going down!` I should have complained and asked to move but it was 11:30 when went to bed and once settled and drifting off to sleep we noticed it. If I stay again I would need assurance that room was well away from the lift.
Without hesitation I would recommend this hotel for so many reasons. We stayed for two nights over a weekend. The reception was welcoming and the staff very friendly. Our room had two single beds and I have to say we stay away quite regularly and these were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. So soft! The room was immaculate! The shower room was small but perfectly formed and the shower was nice and powerful and again immaculately clean. The little touches like the free bottles of water and beautifully laid out tea/coffee tray/pen paper etc were very welcoming. Lovely and warm room and quiet because we were at the back of the hotel. The only thing I would comment on was not being able to switch the air con motor off so that did drone on during the night but did not ruin our stay. Breakfast had so much choice and beautifully prepared and so many choices of hot drinks too and the staff were all friendly. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! We were on level 5!
Excellent facilities, bit noisy if staying at front of hotel.
Nearly excellent but not quite
Just had a two night stay at the Victoria Dock Ibis Hotel. Staff were friendly and polite, rooms were clean and tidy and hotel in general was very good. Docklands railway, giving easy access to London andi it`s attractions was directly opposite the Hotel. No great views!!but if you want a reasonable base for a stay in London, this would be a good choice.
Clean,modern hotel,good food,staff very polite and helpful
Lovely hotel, great location for 02, helpful staff. Would stay again
Clean, modern room. Staff helpful. Beds very comfortable. Opposite tube station so easy to get around.
Room satisfactory, breakfast very good. Staff helpful.Unfortunately we had to make a complaint in the night due to some very noisy occupants.
Conveniently positioned opp tube - unfortunately tube was shut for maintenance when I stayed! Easy to use hotel- does the job. Twin room was very small, if one person is getting ready the other person will need to sit on the bed or chair, bathroom very small too- reminded me of an airplane toilet but with a shower! Everywhere smelt clean. Everything very modern in design. For a continental breakfast there was a lot of choice and even had bacon, scrambled egg and beans!! For price it`s great but slightly disappointed by how small room was and bathroom felt more like I was in a portakabin!!
Clean and comfortable but the newly painted and jazzed up lounge is bleak and plastic - thank goodness they haven`t changed the staff who are as nice as ever- major problem is lack of wi fi in the rooms - who can afford to be off line these days - except on a beach holiday
The Custom house location was a perfect fir for us with respect to location; next to the DLR station. The hotel was clean. The bath was fine for us, but is not fit for large or big people. Rooms served their purpose, however are slighty small. Breakfast was simple, but good and tasty. Staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay.
Hotel was clean but the rooms were very small and cramped especially the shower area. You can hardly turn around. However, the food was great. They had a lot of choices and never run out of anything. The front desk needs some training in public relations because they lack the personality to cater to the guests and not at all helpful. When we asked them how to go to certain places and which place to start best, they just directed us to pick up the map in the corner of the hotel lobby
Our room was spotlessly clean however, it was also very cramped. We requested to move to a larger room and were immediately given access to a disabled room which was twice the size. Everyone that we dealt with in the hotel was incredibly helpful and extremely friendly. If you want a less costly hotel with good breakfasts, excellent steak restaurant and its own pub, this is for you.
Very handy for EdExcel and the 02 otherwise quite a way out of town. Got a good rate. Room was clean but fairly basic. Upgraded from continental to English cooked breakfast for £3 which was a good deal.
This is a clean and well run hotel and offered good value for money if going to 020 again I would use this hotel.
Overall, a very pleasant stay. However, breakfast was extremely disorganised!! NO cutlery available and a continental breakfast is provided which was a tad chaotic as a full english can be upgraded to. Thus many hotel guests in a quite small space. This was our only concern.
Really cant beat the vakue for money - very clean , compact functional rooms. If I am going to offer any criticism at all - bed a bit hard for me, and dining room was v v busy and warm today at breakfast- but it definitely wouldnt stop me from using this hotel again
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
FRIENDLY STAFF, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE ROOM, GOOD BREAKFAST, GOOD TRANSPORT LINKS TO CITY. WOULD RECOMMEND CUSTOM HOUSE FOR A SHORT BREAK.
