Have stayed here before and will again - not great facilities but location is excellent. Rooms are on small side and Polo Bar only for 21plus which was problem with our family who were 18+ but still not allowed in.
As the hotel is 5star I would hav expected tea and coffee facilities to be included in the cost of the room rather than have to pay an extra £5 plus service charge to have them brought to the room. The address states Bond Street but the hotel is in Conduit Street.Directions given from the tube station could have been clearer. Wonderful breakfast!
Everything about the hotel was very good.We will certainly use if again.
Great location, near to all the good shops, lively Polo bar good cocktails, a little pricey but you are in the heart of London. Breakfast was very good all cooked to order. Rooms nice and clean. Staff very friendly and attentive, worth a stay.
We expected a much better standard of rooms from a 5* hotel. The room was dull and dated, the bathroom old-fashioned and poorly appointed. There were no bathrobes, and toiletries amounted to a small bottle of bath/shower gel and a small bottle of shampoo. The tissues were the poorest quality. The TV in the bedroom was quite new but the picture quality was poor, and there was only a bedside light on one side of the bed. We had to ask for more hangers (only 2 provided initially) and also fresh hand towels on the second day. They did arrive promptly but we shouldn`t have had to ask. The hotel is in a great position.
the only downside was that two out of the three rooms werent ready at 2pm, so 6 of us had to quickly freshen up in one room. however you couldnt fault te clesnliness and overall impression of the food and hotel and the staff were very friendly
Lovely hotel
a little expensive even by London standards £5.00 for a small cup of coffee, and breakfast a little hit or miss, waited 20 mins for a drink, 40 mins for some toast
Paper thin walls; Bath had a plug that wouldn`t stay in the plughole; Very niosy plumbing; Air Con with only 1 fan setting (on a very hot day !); both male & female steam "rooms" out of order; hotel contractors that started smashing glass below our window at 08:15 on a sunday; the time-slot for breakfast in our room was decided for us by the hotel - and then it was 5 mins late !
EXCELLENT HOTEL, SUPERB LOCATION,ROOMS CLEAN AND TIDY AND COMFORTABLE BEDS. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST, SUPERB SERVICE.
Size of the room and bathroom were very disappointing and the shower curtain over the bath was just dreadful.Location is excellent as is breakfast service in the room.
The hotel is well maintained and its location is just fantastic. The rooms are adequate size with good quality bed and pillows. The complimentary breakfast was very enjoyable and the service very attentive. The only problem was that only one of the two lifts was working which resulted in queues forming for it. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel survives on its location. Right next to Old Bond Street. And on a very friendly staff.
GREAT HOTEL REALLY COMFORTABLE BED
It didn`t feel like a five star hotel, apart from the prices being charged. No tea and coffee making facilities, no complimentary water, bathroom lacking in toiletries - had to request them, towels were ancient - grey and hard, shower grubby and jets blocked with limescale, lampshades damaged, room small, noise through interconnecting door
great location it was ok
Staff at reception were great. Room very clean and confortable, quite small for a 5*. Ordered a paper which did not arrive. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. Very small area for a fairly large hotel. We had to wait for a short time to be seated. No-one explained in the restaurant whether we went up to the continental buffet and no order taken for around 10 minutes. However, those are all the negative comments, would I stay there again, Yes I would. The food was lovely and the staff really helpful. Great location on Bond Street.
Public areas smaller than imagined, service good and concierge very helpful, close to good quality restaurants and obviously Bond St is great location. £18.50 for a fancy Croque Monsieur seemed a bit steep. Shower curtain not effective at keeping puddle from floor however carefully arranged. Didn`t quite feel 5*
We were very happy with our two night stay at the Westbury Hotel situated in the heart of Mayfair. Our room was comfortable and clean and very quiet. Our room was however, very small and if our stay had been longer we would probably have considered upgrading to a higher category room for extra space. The English Breakfast was excellent and all the staff helpful and efficient.
Other than that fabulous food, and the rest off the staff outstanding
the bedroom wall was paper thin!! there was a guy in the next bedroom making phone calls from 1am to 5am, i heard every word!!!got about 2 hours sleep all night!!!
situ in conduit street(edge of bond st)-less than 10 mins to Oxford st or piccadilly(Ritz)-5 mins to Regent st---choose a room at the back(much quieter)-great bar 2 mins away `Sketch`-very cool!Lovely staff-very knowledgable conceirge.Good breakfast-very comfy beds-big and spacious rooms.-Wish i was back there now! :o(
we stayed for our 25th anniversary,we were upgraded to a king room upon checking in.after we returned to our room from site seeing we had been left a cake with chocolates, fresh fruit and a drink with compliments from hotel, would definitely stay again .only fault would be no tea/coffee facilities in room there was an extra charge if you wanted, this did surprise us from a 5 star hotel.hotel very central to shops and theatres
Not a very good television set up. Many major chanels not available, no film channel. No childrens menu. A very kind staff, but not terribly efficient.. The hotel has a good situation in the heart of London, and seems to be content with that.
Lovely hotel excellent service from delightful staff. Rooms delightful and beautifully maintained. Would definitely stay there again.
The rooms are small, but the situation in London very good, and the staff is very friendly. They dont have any meals for children on their menu.
