Very disappointing. Despite the gloss of top-hatted doormen and golden lifts once we scraped the surface the cracks appeared. This is a hotel which focuses on profit and showiness over basic customer service and a genuine user-experience. Such a shame.
Fantastic hotel but needs to provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room, really should be available in a 5* establishment.
Excessively overpriced in the Polo bar for drinks and food. £16 for a vodka and tonic, £18 for a club sandwich and £5.50 for a portion of French fries is totally excessive.
The staff were lovely they moved us to a bigger room as husband is disabled and they did not get the special request that I sent you, the rooms were ok but looked nothing like what was advertised so slightly disappointed
Room was comfortable, reasonable size and clean. We used the Polo Bar where the service was personal and faultless. Generally a little pricey - but it`s Mayfair and so no different to other hotels and bars. The staff were extremely attentive - especially the door and reception staff. In summary - we had a couple of fabulous days, the perfect location and a beautiful way to start the Christmas holidays. Thank you.
good staff and nice hotel. Room needed a clock and tea/coffee making facilities.
Has a superb bar that makes superb cocktails
Initially disappointed to find that the high floor I had requested was only allocated to guests staying longer than a weekend & the wifi I thought I had paid for did not show on my booking & was therefore not applicable. After this I could not fault the service & housekeeping were especially diligent. Nothing was too much trouble & the breakfast (a la carte) was excellent & served in a timely manner. Will definitely stay there again. So accessible to all required amenities
No complimentary tea/coffee making facilities in room so looked at menu to have morning coffee delivered - no filter or Americano available - price unreasonably high. Surprised no non-alcoholic beer or wine available. Expected some free WiFi. Had to wait for table at breakfast. Food going cold while one waiter stood with food on tray waiting for another who could (qualified) bring it to our table.
Excellent service and the room was spot on.The Hotel supplied a cake for my partners Birthday which was greatly appreciated.Anyone thinking of booking at The Westbury should not hesitate, book in!!Thanks very much to all the staff for making our weekend stay a very good and memorable experience.
Hotel was perfect. Very Friendly staff
Staff are very helpful and accomodating, hotel is pure elegance and has a feeling of twenties Americana to it. Easy to find and close to Green Park and only 2 stops from the theatre
Great service and all staff more than helpful. As long as you accept the prices for everything go with the prestige of the location its wonderful to have good food excellent breakfast and again quality service.
The room I stayed had a connection door. I was woken by somebody talking next to me at 6.10 am finding out it was the guest in the next room talking on the phone. I could hear the whole conversation of several phone calls the guest made which finally ended around 9 am. The room itself was very small but well equipped. .
We were given attentive and excellent service from the moment we stepped out if our taxi. Our room was spotless and reception telephoned to ensure we liked the room.Breakfast was superb. All in all a wonderful stay and we will return.
Very comfortable and splendid breakfast.
Lovely room, not overly large, but perfectly formed. Only thing missing was a kettle, but room had a very fully stocked mini bar so that was great.
Fantastic hotel. Room was lovely. Staff friendly and great breakfast. Made my husbands 50th very special.
The Westbury was great, from the moment the doors are opened for you, all staff acknowledge you, the bedrooms were clean and confortable and the breakfast service was 1st class.Looking forward to using this hotel again with this experience received
Perfect posistion for shopping lovley staff
We stayed for three nights and liket the hotel. Some remarks: no fre wi-fi, very small room and bath room, we could hear what was said in the next room without any problem. The breakfast was fantastic.
Could not fault a thing! Perfect location, great room, excellent food combined with friendly & helpful service. We definately return!!!!
Very disappointed that a five star hotel has no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. Also for a Superior Queen room, it was very small. Not what we would call value for the money and would not book their again.
A lovely hotel - with very friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. I would definitley stay there again.
Double room very small and the air conditioning system is old and noisy.. However staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel reception what i expected, kind and polite staff opening the doors and offering any help you may need 5* ser ice indeedHowever the superior double room we stayed in - if im honest was no different to a premier inn room, except there NO tea o coffee facilities - maybe thats how a 5* hotel is, they must want you to order the £7 coffees to your room
Great hotel
Would definitely recommend to others and we will definitely be back
Overall, I was very satisfied and happy with my stay. The only criticism I would make was that a young man came in to check the mini bar whilst both me and my girlfriend were still in bad. A little embarrassing.
