We just back from the Hotel yesterday and we can Highly reccomend staying here. The only fault and its very small but we had no plate for our breakfast and then we had to wait for cutlery. We could not believe the breakfast the choice was not what we expected, a hot buffet and a choice of cereal and fresh fruit, set us up for the day, we have stayed in other Express Hotels and only had cereal on offer. We will definately be back, the location was great, just 10 mins to the City Centre but some great restaurants and bars on the way, highly reccomend the Empire Bar for great bands. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly, we look forward to staying again.

Can I salvage this terrible mess-up ?

The Hotel is clean, and bedroom kept to a high standard, the only thing i found wrong was the hair dryer didn`t work we had mentioned it to a member of housekeeping but i think she was busy.But over all a pleasant and happy experience had by myself and my family, and we most certainly stay with you again.

Overall the hotel was very good with a high standard of breafast (Cooked buffet) for a Holiday Inn Express. Location outside was a bit run down. The main problem was the carpark for builders yard ??? The ramps to the carpark were 4 inches wider than the car........

Given somelse`s room on arrival. Room had a very uncomfortable 3rd bed, my daughter slept down oneside, against the wall, to prevent her from falling through. No cup, tea, sugar, coffee or milk for the 3rd occupier. Shower cubicle filled up with water everytime the shower was used and the TV was very difficult to change channels and alter the sound. Room was very dated and the whole Hotel looked in need of a face-lift, which is why its being done.

We stayed with 2 children and they were awakened during the night with noisy residents in the next room. we asked the reception to ring them and ask them to quiten down but they never did. we ended up ringing the room instead and the noise just continued. The breakfast we good and the room was fine. other than the noise from the paper thin walls the hotel was ok and was good enough value for money.

We stayed for 1 night and found room standard very good,Staff had a good knowledge of the area ie. buses,where to go etc.Only a 10 min walk to the town or £1.30 0n the bus o/w.No complaints would stay here again.Breakfast also really nice?

Walls between rooms are not very sound proof and therefore you can easily hear people talking moving around etc. This is quite frustrating especially at night when you want to sleep and next door are banging about , or small children running up and down, they might as well be sharing the same room.Other more positive comments - Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast good, parking available, rooms nice and clean etc

Food was good, staff excellent. Location is convenient for the City. Room was clean, tidy and adequate for a family. Slight smell of cigarettes at first in the room, although it was no smoking. The only downside was the heat! No Air conditioning, and only a small window that didn`t open very far meant that we had to get a fan from Reception and have that running the whole time we were in the room. Stayed three nights and didn`t get into bed one night. Just lay on the top trying to sleep with the noise of the fan, even on lowest setting.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and efficient low budget accomodation. Nice and central, lots of good cheap places to eat in the nearby University area - term had just finishes so it was nice and quiet, I`d imagine it`s a different story in term time. Hotel is no nonsense, pretty basic/functional but comfortable and clean, fine for a short City break.Only downside is it`s clearly popular with stag/hen parties, we were fairly lucky but I`d imagine you could get noisy neighbours....

Self-service areas of restaurant were messy and untidy at breakfast, appeared under-staffed and under-supervised. Otherwise satisfactory for the very reasonable cost.

This hotel was basic but great value for money. Room was clean on entry and cleaned regularly throughout 5 day visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful but not in your face - my notion of good staff. Requested more pillows and they were delivered immediately. Breakfast was good value for money too. In these economic times this hotel ticks most boxes - cheap but cheerful. Could management perhaps have staff check outside of hotel as there was vomit on the ground at the entrance for a couple of days before rain washed away

Everything was very good room was very clean and compact, the only complaint was that there was no BICARDI at the bar but that is minor.

This hotel would be vastly improved by some updating of the rooms. A bit of repainting everywhere/regrouting & modernisation of the bathrooms/updating of the furniture would work wonders! It is a shame as the staff are very friendly and helpful and it is conveniently located for the city centre.

Really enjoyed the city and its delights! We will definitely be back!

The bed was not the most comfortable. Beside the bed the carpet actually didnt come close to meeting at the seam - a little bit of a surprise for Holiday Inn. The bathroom grout needed a good cleaning or something.

Service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely and there was and excellent breakfast which was available until 11.30am on the Sunday so we didn`t have to rush ourselves. Will definately stay again

Arrived in the 21stFeb, found reception good, down side ofeer alternative to credit card as in deposit for phone use explained better, The other staff were excellent epecialy the local Irish girl on reception this day very helpfull. Rooms were good and comfortable, Only had breakfast and the layout and the standard was very good except that pots of tea or coffee could be provided rather than small cups. Car parking excellent, overall well done, A marketing point maybe to offer special deals as in two night packages as in FRi and sat atya special rate, worth considering from a visiter from the REpublic`s point of view. ok T A McKeon
